1. InÚs de la Fressange (1983) 

InÚs de la Fressange is a French model and fashion icon who became an early Chanel celebrity ambassador in 1983.

Karl Lagerfeld selected her as the face of the house and was the first model to have an exclusive contract with Chanel brand. Thus, Inùs de la Fressange quickly became closely associated with Chanel’s brand image. 

Her effortless Parisian style of showcasing fun, modern and youthful Chanel became part of the brand’s sophisticated culture. 

Unfortunately, she decided to stop being a Chanel ambassador around 1989 over a disagreement. 

2. Vanessa Paradis (1991)

Jumping ahead, to the early 2010s, American actress Blake Lively became a CHANEL ambassador in 2011.
